About

She considers a field and buys it;

out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

The Proverbs 31 woman is certainly a worthy model.  Considering the Fields is inspired by verse 16.  My husband has noted on many occasions that one way I truly bless him and our family is with my faithful stewardship of what the Lord has blessed us with.  Honestly, I’ve always just considered myself frugal and loved finding a great sale but have realized after starting our family almost 3 years ago these characteristics have taken on a whole new meaning.  As a stay at home mom finding quality products at reasonable prices allows me to contribute financially, even if indirectly.   Not to mention finding that great sale or an awesome new product gives me a huge adrenaline rush!  I love considering the next find from groceries and necessities to the fun things of life that will send smiles of delight on my loved ones faces.  I also enjoy sharing anything that I feel has encouraged or helped me in this journey of being a wife and mother.

I’ve recently become introduced to the world of review and giveaway blogs.  I have always enjoyed sharing my opinions about great products I find that help ease my load, give some insight into this parenting journey, or simply add a little fun and joy to life.  I’ve already won several giveaways and have enjoyed trying these new products.

My hope is to be able to use CTF as a forum to share my latest “fields”, allowing you to also consider the fields.  Check back soon for some fantastic finds, reviews and giveaways.

I’d love to hear what products you’d love to see reviewed or even that “field” you’ve been searching for.  Please feel free to contact me with any suggestions or comments!

About our Family:

I’m Liz, the mom and creator of CTF.  I am a child of The King.  Being a follower of Christ colors and, I pray, shapes the other roles I have in this crazy life.  I am a wife, mommy, daughter, sister and friend to many in my life.  I studied Psychology at a small women’s college and loved it!  I went to grad school for a bit.  While in grad school two major life events took place: I met my hubby, got married, and my mom died unexpectedly from a heart attack so I decided to take some time off to learn to be a wife and get some work experience.    I’m now a stay at home mom to my two little ones.  I love my kiddos!  Besides searching for and sharing the next great find, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, planning the next great surprise, road trips, and sleeping (hey, with an infant, can you blame me?!).

“Husband”, yes we really do call each other Husband/Wife, and I were married in December 2006.  He is a gentleman, even if a Northerner, a romantic, and poet.  He’s an amazing daddy, loves his family, friends, books, theology, the outdoors, and adventure.  Put him in the middle of a forest or on a mountain and he’s one happy camper.  He is a chemical engineer by training but is a bit of an anomaly.  Husband generally sees the forest, where I see the trees so we balance each other.  I’m the organizer and planner but I’m proud to say he’s growing in this area!  We are going on 5 years of marriage.  In some ways it seems like we’ve always been together and others like we just married.

Our daughter, Munchkins, was born August 2008 and just might rule the world by the age of 7.  There’s no denying she’s mine as she looks pretty much like me: petite, blonde hair, blue eyes, and some great cheeks!  She’s strong willed, outgoing, has an incredible ability to focus on one activity and quite the little talker.  She loves puzzles, her animal friends and dolls, reading, singing, and playing outside.  Daily she surprises me.

Our son, Lil Dude, was born at home January 2011.  The first month was a bit of a nightmare for him and I as we tried to come to a happy place nursing.  We’ve since come to a mutual agreement that he loves mommy’s milk and I love sanity, so I exclusively pump (EP) for Lil Dude.  I EPed for Munchkins too so while it seems crazy, it’s normal and easier for us.  Since 1.5 months old, Lil Dude is the happiest and most smiley little baby.  He looks like his daddy mostly, and seems to have daddy’s laid back/go with the flow personality.  Watching him grow and seeing his lil personality shine is a delight.
